Photography has been a long time love for me.  It dates back to my hot pink, 110 film carmera.  I carried that thing everywhere I went.  I probably have more pictures of my friends than their own parents do.  And now, years later, I am photographing my friends children.  I LOVE it!!!!!!!

My friends and family encourage me to start my own business.  Honestly, I do not feel prepared to have a buisness.  I have determined that calling it ministry/non-business is what works best for me.  I want to pursue photography.  I want to learn more but at my own pace.  I want to bless others and by mixing the two I get the best of both worlds, lucky me!

My family also take part in this.  My husband hears my yearly petition for a new camera, flash, or whatever new gadget I set my eye on.  If he had a penny for every time he has heard, 'that would make a great prop" or "could you build this", he would be a millionaire.

My kids are wonderful help too!  Conner(11) loves to second shoot and has a very good eye for photography.  Kellsey(9) likes to take part in the editing process.  Garrett(6) is really experienced in making babies giggle--this is a great quality in the photography world.

About 4 years ago I met with Beverly Burchett, an amazing photographer in the Jasper County area. She was a great encouragement to me.  After discussing the ministry side of this she prayed with me using the phrase, "photography is all about light and Jesus is the Light".  I believe it was that moment that Project the Light became very real to me.  This is a journey for me.  A journey that will offer smiles, friendships, captured memories and a growing knowledge of photography.  I do hope you choose to be a part of this journey!
